Oct. 14th-20th, Allen and Britany come to visit with the boys

We were excited for Allen and Britany to drive to KY from UT. Originally they were coming out for a high school reunion but apparently it was cancelled because of low numbers of people planning to attend. It was fun having them come out and it was our first time meeting Benji! Benji was born a couple months before Aven so it is fun imagining them getting to play together when they are bigger.

Rodney was in Mexico for the first little bit of Allen and Britany's trip. When they were in town we were able to do some of the following fun things: Eat at Johnny Carino's, Playing and eating pizza in the church gym, Evan's Orchard, hanging out at Grandpa Don and Grandma Jayne's house and going to the Explorium with the littlest kids.

I'm sorry to say that I didn't get any pictures of the above activities but I did steal pictures from some of the activities from Britany and Grandma Jayne's facebook so I suppose it is okay to share ;) PS, the following events are not in order.

Eating at Johnny Carino's. This was when Rodney was gone, can you say Crazy?! Let's just say I don't plan on taking my kids out to eat again without an extra set of hands to keep my kids in line. It was a little nuts, but fun. I don't know how single parents do things like this.

We went to the Explorium also while they were in town, unfortunately though when you take such young kids they tend to want to do their own thing so we didn't really see much of each other there. The kids had tons of fun though.

This was taken on Wednesday for sure because we met up at the church for the kids to play in the gym while we ate pizza and hung out before activities started that evening. Something weird that happened that evening was Bentley was having an allergic reaction to something (can't remember what) and we sent Grandma Jayne to pick up some meds at a nearby store. She complained about her feet hurting when she would run and they were looking red.

Trip to Evan's Orchard. This is about as good as it gets when you try to get 4 kids to take a picture (oh, and after taking this picture Bentley started having an allergic reaction to the hay. Luckily this was at the end of our stay there. One of the favorite activities from this trip that was not photographed was playing in the corn pit. It was a big box of corn kernels. Our kids loved this sensory experience.

Two cute baby boy cousins sitting next to eachother. They were about the same size even though Benji is 2 months older. Too adorable!

 We are so thankful for family and being able to have them come visit from out of town.  Thanks so much Allen and Britany for coming out and playing with us!
